Reds Chase Jimenez?

Manchester United are interested in signing 19-year-old Chilean midfielder Luis Jimenez, according to reports.

Jimenez currently plies his trade in Italy, for Serie B outfit Ternana. After producing some fine performances this season, the teenager has attracted the interest of a host of Europe's top clubs, including United.

"It's true Jimenez is eyed by a lot of teams," admitted Stefano Capozucca, Ternana's sporting manager. "He's a young player who is making a really good championship.

"Many teams are eyeing him, but at the moment we haven't any intention to talk about his future. We will see at the end of season.

"Atletico Madrid? Manchester United? Juventus? Inter? Yes, it's true. These are all teams that arrived here to see him playing."

Any move to sign Jimenez would hinge on Ternana's promotion to Serie A. The club are currently fourth in Serie B.

"We will see at the end of season," added Capozucca. "If we will stay in Serie B we will sell him, otherwise, if as we are hoping, Ternana will go to Serie A, we will surely keep him."
